UK Alpaca’s new suri yarns are featured on the front cover of The Knitter, one of the leading magazines in its field. They say ‘the superfine suri alpaca and silk yarn from UK Alpaca is exquisitely soft’. The design, by Elly Doyle, is a lacy shrug named Cirrus and made with a soft green shade called Saxifrage.
The yarns are made from the fleeces of suri alpacas farmed in Britain and are blended with 20% baby huacaya and 5% silk. There is also a range of 100% suri marled yarns in natural colours.
